Design for Stage

For this project I was required to design a set for a theatre performance of The Persecution and Assassination of Jean-Paul Marat as Performed by the Inmates of the Asylum of Charenton Under the Direction of the Marquis de Sade. For this play, I thought it was important to have a distinction between the "offstage" and "onstage" parts of the set. Between their scenes, the inmates can remain locked in the cell, and be led out to downstage, to perform their lines.
